PARAKRAM DIWAS

From this year onwards, the Government of India has decided that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's  birthday will be celebrated as "PARAKRAM DIWAS" on January 23 (every year).

Subhash Chandra Bose was born on 23 January 1897 in Cuttack (Odisha). He was a soldier, an inspiring personality and a mass leader in India's freedom movement. He was affectionately addressed as 'Netaji' by the people of India.
